About Coshocton, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Coshocton is a city found in Coshocton County, Ohio, and it also serves as the county seat. As of 2010, about 11,200 people lived here, and many residents enjoy the easy access to nearby Columbus. This affordable community is known as the “Made in the USA City”, as its history is rich in manufacturing. Specifically, Coshocton is home to the largest American Flag manufacturer in the world, but the agricultural and coal industries also provide many jobs for locals. The community is served by Coshocton School Schools and the Coshocton Public Library, and a branch of Central Ohio Technical College is also found within the city.
While Coshocton is primarily a residential community, there are a few interesting places to see and visit here. History enthusiasts may wish to visit Historic Roscoe Village or the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum, while the great outdoors can be enjoyed at Clary Gardens or the Monticello III Canal Boat Ride. The Three Rivers Wine Trail offers six unique wineries, a distillery, and a brewery all within a short distance from one another, and shopping is plentiful here at CoCoshocton Antique Mall, Medbery Marketplace, Roscoe General Store, and Roscoe Village Sweets and Treats.
Coshocton residents can enjoy varied weather with four seasons. Summertime weather here is muggy and warm, and average highs at the peak of the season reach into the mid-80s.Proper air conditioning will cool off indoor temperatures, but it also serves as extremely useful for people who suffer from seasonal allergies and other respiratory conditions.
Winter weather in Coshocton also requires the right preparation at home. Too far south for lake effect snowstorms, the area is relatively dry in the winter with only about 28 total inches of snowfall each season. However, temperatures can plummet, and by January, average low temperatures fall to about 22 degrees Fahrenheit. With temperatures so far below freezing, it is critical that homeowners have a reliable gas or electric furnace in place.
