The village of Fredericktown is a located in Knox County, Ohio, and approximately 2,500 people call the community home. Originally platted in 1807, Fredericktown was named for Frederick, Maryland, the home of an original settler. The village is found at the junction of State Routes 95 and 13, and it is about 50 miles from the Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, OH. Fredericktown is home to a public library, and the local school district operates three schools, including Fredericktown High School.

While Fredericktown is a fairly small community, there are plenty of places to visit here. Outdoor recreation is plentiful, and major destinations include Fredericktown Community Park, the Ackerman Nature Preserve, and the Kokosing Lake Wildlife Area.
