About Howard, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Howard is a census-designated place found in Knox County, Ohio. Howard is part of Howard Township and is home to only about 240 residents. Originally known as “Kinderhook”, the current name was adopted when the railroad extended to the area. Howard is centrally located in the state, and it offers easy access to Columbus, Mansfield, Newark, and Cleveland.

There are plenty of interesting places to visit in Howard. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the many recreational opportunities available at Apple Valley Lake, and Honey Run Park features a picturesque waterfall that visitors won’t want to miss. Sutton Beach is a popular place to check out during the warmer spring and summer months, and residents and visitors alike may wish to book a tee time at the Apple Valley Golf Course. Howard is also home to many delicious and unique restaurants, including Nancy Maria’s Pizza, the Bad Apple Pub, and Spearman’s Restaurant.

Four very different seasons lead to a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities throughout the year, but it is important that residents take the right precautions in terms of climate controls at home. The winter months are cold, and freezing temperatures can lead to dangerous conditions both indoors and outdoors. A high-efficiency gas or electric furnace will ensure that indoor conditions stay safe and comfortable throughout the duration of the season.

A short spring season will quickly transition to a humid summer. Temperatures are very warm and may border on hot depending on the year. Average daily highs reach about 81 degrees in July and August, but higher thermostat readings into the upper-80s and low-90s are possible. Central air conditioning is arguably the preferred method of home cooling, as it offers consistent cooling throughout an entire space. To keep air conditioning systems running properly throughout the season, annual tune-ups and regular maintenance is recommended.
