About Wooster, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The city of Wooster is located in northeastern Ohio, and it is situated 50 miles southwest of Cleveland. Wooster is both the county seat and largest city in Wooster County, as over 25,000 residents called the city home in 2010. Several industrial businesses maintain headquarters in Wooster, including Seaman Corp, Buehler Food Markets, Wooster Brush, and Tricor Industrial. The College of Wooster is also found here along with two subsidiaries of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center and The Ohio State University: The Agricultural Technical Institute.

There is no shortage of interesting places to visit in Wooster and the surrounding area. The Ohio Light Opera is found at the College of Wooster, and this professional opera company is known for its light opera repertory. The Wooster Symphony Orchestra is the second oldest in the state, and other cultural opportunities can be enjoyed at the Wayne Center for the Arts. Outdoor spaces are plentiful in the community and include Ramseyer Farms, Wooster Memorial Park, Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area, and the Secrest Arboretum. The region is also popular for wine making, and destinations for the sommelier in training include Blue Barn Winery and Troutman Vineyards.

Varied weather conditions provide for ample outdoor recreation. Hiking and biking are popular during the warm summer months, as sunny skies and high temperatures are common. Average daily high temperatures reach into the mid-80s, but humidity levels can be oppressive. Many residents invest in central air conditioning at home to stay cool and to remove excess moisture from indoor circulating air.

The winter months in Wooster are quite different from summertime conditions. While snowfall totals are lower than parts of the state further north, temperatures can be quite cold. The right gas or electric furnace is a necessity, as overnight lows often drop into the 20s. Unfortunately, simply having a furnace isn’t enough to ensure comfort at home throughout the season. Wooster residents should invest in periodic system maintenance to ensure their units work properly when required.
